YAKUZA KENZAN ENGLISH GUIDE PSP
Only thing I would be strongly against in remakes for the PSP games are changing the cutscenes - instead of real time FMVs, we get comic book panels with limited animation (same studio that did Peace Walkers cutscenes did these) and they look amazing. Honestly the entire overworld should just use the Dragon Engine as a base, as the weighty combat the DE uses would be perfect for how the combat feels in the PSP games (which btw is basically Def Jam FFNY, same dev). Why? The game uses pre rendered graphics but unlike REmake which have these amazingly high quality assets, the two PSP Yakuza games use pretty low res still shots of Kamurocho and especially in the second game, it looks pretty damn rough in places. Someone else mentioned the PSP games - those would need remakes, not ports. Friendship quests were the definition of pointless grind as well. Not the mini game requirements or anything, but having to talk to cats, dogs, chickens 100's of times was absolutely pointless. cut down the requirements for some of the completion lists (that's right, there's two) that would be nice. However if during the localisation, the team feels inclined to. People would get all the fan service the game has once they've played through Yakuza 1-5 (in terms of characters, music etc.) and the game still plays damn good. Engine is the same one 0/5 uses and it still looks pretty darn nice.
YAKUZA KENZAN ENGLISH GUIDE PS4
But at the same time I really don't want Kenzan stuck on just the PS3. The answer to you question is: 2 yakuza games are under translation and Yakuza Zero and Kiwami will be translated when someone can decrypt the english texts from the Ps4 versions. Though part of me would just want a new samurai game at that point, new time period etc. and with the PS5 launching, and 7 being done its not impossible to assume it could be remade next. Talk about doing a remake/Kiwami version were muttered around 5's remaster release in Japan so it is something that was on the devs minds at one point. Get rid of side story fail states as well. While they are at it they could change eliminate load times for battles, flesh out hand to hand combat (its very basic in Kenzan) and maybe add a few extra mini games while they are at it. its probably just better to remake the game at that point, either with the dragon engine (eh, I have concerns over how the combat might feel) or using Ishin as a base (which would be wonderful).
YAKUZA KENZAN ENGLISH GUIDE 1080P
Part of me would prefer to preserve the game as is and just remaster it (maybe get rid of the load screens for fights as well, at least they should be far quicker like how the PS3 ports of 1&2 almost completely did away with the loads), just make it 1080p 60FPS, it would be very pleasant to play.īut they you got other stuff - missable side stories, trophies would need to be added. Kenzan also has a few issues - aside from Haruka's plot its also only on PS3, and is the first 3D engine RGG game - so much so that instead of 3's method of loading in fights (people surround you) it still uses old style load screens for fights (something that only 1,2 and the PSP games use). But I don't think its anything impenetrable to translation but it is less straight forward. It uses quite a few old terms, enough that there's a separate glossary of terms to explain certain things in the Japanese releases. Click to shrink.Sorta true, but not quite.
